Venier Bruno
VENIER BRUNO
1914-1996. Italian.Painter and engraver. He studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts. He was a disciple of Spilimbergo and a founding Member of “Grupo Orion”. His painting was neo-surrealist, with cubist influence, and he was admired by Pablo Picasso.
He exhibited at San Pablo, New Delhi, and Mexico Biennials. 1942 Second Price, Hall of Decorative Art of the Nation. 1954 Sívori Award at the National Hall. 1954 First Prize Peuser Hall. He made 660 exhibitions in the main museums of Argentina, America, Europe, and Asia until 1986. Renowned critics made 19 works about Bruno Venier.
