MELO JORGE
1919 - He studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts. His work transitioned from the sensitive figuration to the abstraction. He is well-defined by his chromatic handling. He exhibited his work in numerous galleries. He attended National Halls and several award-presenting ceremonies. 1980 First Prize at the Santa Fe Hall; Grand Award of the Paraná Hall, Entre Ríos. 1982 Third Prize National Hall.
His works are exhibited in museums such as the Quinquela Martín Museum at La Boca, the López Claro Museum of Art, among others. He has been declared as a Distinguished Personality of the Culture of the City of Buenos Aires.
